Reading Links
This post comes under the sub-section Reading Links. Under Reading Links, I'll post some interesting readings that I come across everyday. All of them will be connected to the topics we explore at OPW.
This is one of the classic works written by the great Frederic Bastiat. In policy, as in life, there are seen and unseen consequences to every action. What separates a good policymaker from a bad one is the former’s ability to anticipate and account for negative consequences while framing a policy.
In this paper, Bastiat explores this idea using various examples. Read the paper to develop some natural skills to think of the unseen when pondering any issue.
